niṣedha karite nāre, yāte choṭa bhāi
mauna dhari’ rahe lakṣmaṇa mane duḥkha pāi’

— becoming silent;

— Lakṣmaṇa;

— unhappiness;

— getting.
Translation:
As a younger brother He could not stop Lord Rāma from His resolution, and so He remained silent, although unhappy in His mind.
