purī-gosāñi kare kṛṣṇa-nāma-saṅkīrtana
‘mathurā nā pāinu’ bali’ karena krandana
Word for word: 
purī-gosāñi — Mādhavendra Purī; kare — was performing; kṛṣṇa-nāma-saṅkīrtana — the chanting of the holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa; mathurā pāinu — I did not get shelter at Mathurā; bali’ — saying; karena krandana — was crying.
Translation: 
Mādhavendra Purī was chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, and sometimes he would cry, “O my Lord, I did not get shelter at Mathurā.”
