iṅhāra puṇye kṛṣṇe āni’ sākṣī bolāiba
tabe ei viprera satya-pratijñā rākhiba

— Lord Kṛṣṇa;

— bringing;

— witness;
bolāiba
— I shall call;
tabe
— at that time;
ei
viprera
— of this brāhmaṇa;
satya
— truthful;
pratijñā
— the promise;
rākhiba
— I shall keep.
Translation:
“By the piety of the elderly brāhmaṇa, I shall call the Supreme Personality of Godhead as a witness. Thus I shall keep his truthful promise intact.”
