tām aha bhagavān kārṣṇir
mātas te matir anyathā
mātṛ-bhāvam atikramya
vartase kāminī yathā

Translation:
Lord Pradyumna told her, “O mother, your attitude has changed. You are overstepping the proper feelings of a mother and behaving like a lover.”
