hiraṇyakaśipur bhrātuḥ
 samparetasya duḥkhitaḥ
kṛtvā kaṭodakādīni
 bhrātṛ-putrān asāntvayat

Translation: 
After performing the ritualistic observances for the death of his brother, Hiraṇyakaśipu, being extremely unhappy, tried to pacify his nephews.
