śrī-rājovāca
kiṁ nimitto guroḥ śāpaḥ
 saudāsasya mahātmanaḥ
etad veditum icchāmaḥ
 kathyatāṁ na raho yadi

Translation: 
King Parīkṣit said: O Śukadeva Gosvāmī, why did Vasiṣṭha, the spiritual master of Saudāsa, curse that great soul? I wish to know of this. If it is not a confidential matter, please describe it to me.
